Siolim House Hotel The Siolim House is located in the very northern part of Goa near within the region of Vagator. The hotel itself is very close to the Anjuna River, the mouth of which is in the Arabian Sea, not so far away. Vagator is the closest town to the hotel which has a beach, the Vagator Beach which is famous for its outstanding unique beauty. The beach itself can be reached within nine minutes by car and boasts some beautifully dramatic red cliffs and two fresh water springs. The beach is split into two by the headland that holds the car park and various stalls selling trinkets, snacks and beverages. The local town of Vagator is bustling with shops, restaurants, bars and historical sites. There is plenty to do in this part of town and it is easily accessible from the hotel. The Siolim House was awarded in 2013 the much coveted Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor, commending its services as a hotel. This establishment is a traditional building over 350 years old with beautiful period features. There is an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness facility that guests are encouraged to make use of as well as an arcade room to keep young children or even adults entertained. The surrounding village is simple, rustic and bourgeois. It is surrounded by unspoilt natural landscape of water and the forests of Marna. As one of the earliest villages to fall under the Portuguese rule, Siolim had a church built and a bank, each of these buildings date back to the 1500s.
