The 3-star hotel vendome is really rather unique; not only is it housed in a free-standing building from the 19th century, it's interior evokes an old-world charm and ambience which is rarely found nowadays. In the centre of nice (the old town and the beach are no more than 5 minutes' walk from this renovated hotel), the vendome combines ornate belle epoque public areas with modern, comfortable guestrooms with air-conditioning, minibar, cable tv and hairdryer as standard. Public areas include a peaceful reading room with balcony, a small bar and breakfast room. If you're looking for something more traditional with character, the vendome is for you.
