December holidays are all about winter sun, Christmas holidays and welcoming in the New Year. December is the most popular of the winter months for holidays and as such you may pay a little more for your holiday than in November or January but time off work provides the perfect opportunity to get away. Where Is Hot in December
There are plenty of hot and sunny holiday destinations in December if you want to get away before or during the Christmas break.
Cape Verde Islands. Just off the west coast of Africa the Cape Verde Islands enjoy a tropical climate with good weather throughout the year. A great choice for a hot holiday in December somewhere you may not have considered in the past.
It is winter season in Tenerife but temperatures are still good – around 24 ºC - 26 ºC with approximately 6 hours of sunshine per day.
The Dominican Republic is much drier than November with pleasant temperatures throughout the month.
